About Julia

SVT Associate Professor, I am currently on availability to be able to spend more time with my 8 year old daughter.

Insatiable in my thirst for discovery and knowledge, I first followed a literary course, obtaining a Bac L with 18 in philosophy and a master's (bac + 4) LEA English-German. I then resumed my studies and passed a Bac S, then obtained a Master of Earth Sciences and an aggregation of SVT within the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Lyon, where I was admitted by competitive examination ("normalienne" status). Within National Education, I obtained a complementary double certification DNL SVT English and DNL SVT German, in order to teach SVT in a foreign language. I also participated in juries for bac English and German euro.

I taught SVT in middle school and high school for 9 years and I also had the opportunity to replace French and English colleagues over a few weeks when no replacement was assigned to the post by the National Education. I often did English support and math support in the colleges where I practiced. I also did vacations at the University of Lyon 1 in SVT preparation and gave "khôlles" in BCPST preparation.

I have been giving private lessons since I was a student. During a previous availability in particular, I gave 3 to 4 years during full-time private lessons and I knew how to deploy my creativity and my versatility to meet the demands of students with very diverse profiles (dyslexic children, dropouts, adults in editorial difficulty in their professional life, foreign workers having to learn French quickly and needing intensive internships, high school students having to prepare intensively for their Bac in French or philosophy, students ...).

Passionate about the life sciences and the human sciences, I continue to document myself, to read in the many fields which fascinate me, whether they are scientific or literary, nourishing my appetite for these two fields of knowledge.

I like to transmit my desire to learn to my students, this appetite for discovery and effort, all while developing the human dimension of the teacher-student relationship which is dear to me. I like to take up the challenge of making a student in difficulty understand a concept, giving back the desire to learn to a student who has dropped out, and giving back meaning and motivation where they had disappeared. Seeing my students succeed and progress is a real source of satisfaction. I had the opportunity to follow students over several years and to see them evolve and it is always a real pleasure to see them find their way and their way over time.

I favor video for family reasons but also, because it allows:
- to offer you long time slots, including early in the morning and late at night
- not to be dependent on confinements and curfews [N ] - to keep all the non-verbal dimension of learning, which the face-to-face wearing of the mask does not allow.

Great experience of private lessons, in video as in face-to-face. A lot of versatility due to my dual curriculum and my multidisciplinary approach.

Courses for middle-high school students but also for SVT or for post-baccalaureate languages. Courses for adults also (FLE, refresher in spelling, grammar, writing for adults with difficulties in writing in French in the professional sphere, ...).

Course of the course: either we go supports provided by the student, to which I adapt, or I provide my own supports, focusing on a notion or a skill.

I know how to put my students in confidence, I am very attentive to the human dimension of learning, even in visio (without a mask, the whole dimension of non-verbal language is preserved), while combining rigor of reasoning and writing, benevolence and humor. I have developed tools to overcome "thoughtlessness", in maths in particular, and rely on all the senses for understanding and memorization (visual, auditory, gestural, ...). I am very creative and intuitive and know how to both quickly detect the difficulties of my students and adapt to them.

Privileged video lessons. Many time slots available: early morning, from 6-7 a.m. if necessary (for example for adult workers before leaving for work), during the day including during the meridian break, in the evening late until 10.30 p.m.-11 p.m., on weekends -end, Sunday included.
