About Holly
I am a recent astrophysics masters graduate at The University of Kent. I have over a years experience teaching KS3, GCSE, and A-level Physics and Maths both online and in person. I have a lot of real world practical experience in the field, and will bring this to my tutoring. I currently have long term students that I see weekly, and have developed a range of skills and resources from this.

I like to keep a small student base so that I can give lots of time and attention to each student, as I understand that everybody learns differently. For every lesson I spend time creating lesson plans, and I make sure to communicate with my students and find out what and how they like to learn. I believe in making science and maths accessible and fun, so I take my lessons slowly to start with and let my students let me know when it's time to pick up the pace. When it comes to science I think it is also important to explore and discuss, so many of my physics lessons will include a short discussion.
Unless advised otherwise by my student, I follow along with the national curriculum, and include an aspect of helping students prepare for exams. If students are home-schooled I will go through the curriculum in a way I think they will enjoy and engage with, but for students in school I will try to stay updated with what they are learning that week so that my lessons fit what they are already learning. I always love communication with my students, and if they tell me areas in which they are studying I will find a way to make those parts less difficult.

£20 an hour covers up to GCSE
For A-level my rate is £25 an hour, and for degree level physics I charge £35. This increased rate is so that I can afford to put extra time into studying the more challenging topics for this level.
My first lesson is free so that you can get to know me, and decide whether you want to proceed with lessons.
