About Hamish
While studying Physics at A Level and Astrophysics later at university, I gained a deep passion for understanding how our world works and using that knowledge to appreciate our place in the universe. While studying I have worked in classrooms with a range of students from GCSE up to university level. More recently I have been offering online private tuition in Maths and Physics at GCSE and A Level.
Through this experience I have learned how to effectively communicate concepts and promote independent problem solving, a skill that will help any student towards their goals.

My sessions begin by pinning down the exact topics and areas that are causing problems. From here I can identify the approach required, from a revision session on a few key concepts, to a full walkthrough of an entire topic.
I try to link real-world examples into my lessons as often as possible as understanding how a concept you have studied on paper affects the world around us aids understanding and creates a drive to dive deeper into a topic.
