About Ioana
I am a graduate student in Theoretical Astrophysics at UCL, working to understand the formation and evolution history of our home galaxy, the Milky Way. I have been studying physics, astrophysics and mathematics for over eight years now and I have proficient knowledge of the key concepts required to teach these subjects at an excellent level. I have been tutoring for over an year with Griffin and Bell Education and I am ready to move to a more independent setup offered by Superprof.

I approach each topic by sedimenting the absolute basics required to understand more complex concepts later on. I spend a considerable amount of time making sure the students have grasped the intuition behind a key concept such as gravity and, to that extent, I sometimes use media such as YouTube videos or even build myself small physical setups such as immersing apples into waters. Once the intuition is honed, I like to work through a lot of problems with the students as my core belief is that we learn by doing not by memorising.
