About Lachlan

Achievements:
I am a 2023 graduate with a 99.00 ATAR. I studied both Methods and Specialist Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, and General English. I'll be implementing the skills I gained within these subjects to guide students towards their academic goals.

Alongside my ATAR, I received one of only three academic excellence awards presented on graduation day. I maintained an A grade average across all subjects with scores in the mid 90's.

As a national representative of FLL robotics I have developed both communication and teamwork skills that will play a pivotal role in the way I teach.

My Learning Future:
As of 2026, I'm a third year student studying a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering Honors with a major in Space Engineering at the University of Sydney. This field of study truly excites me, and I hope to be able to ignite that passion for learning in every one of my students.

About the lesson

Learning Goals:

I help students achieve their goals, whether that be as simple as completing homework or as challenging as studying for a final exam. I'm able to guide and assist students in any aspect they need, and will accompany them on every step along the way.

Throughout my schooling I've consistently been told that I'm able to convey information in a way that students can more easily understand. Through this skill, I will be able to aid in looking at topics in a new, alternative approach in order to find a method that works best.

Lesson Structure:

Within my lessons, I make use of materials such as digital whiteboards and interactive demonstrations, in order to find a method that is most suitable for each individual student. My lessons are questioned focused, and I help students develop critical thinking skills through validated learning, allowing them to grow and enhance their education, to realise their true potential.

No matter the student's prior knowledge level, I am able to curate a specific learning plan that enables them to excel. Whether we are starting from scratch or jumping right into advanced problems, I'm comfortable and confident in my abilities to guide students in the right direction or allow them to think independently, whichever they prefer. The satisfaction of learning truly is amazing and I can't wait to share that with every one of my students.

I do offer a free trial lesson to get to know each student and set some baseline goals for future success. This opportunity allows me to get to know my students on a personal level and truly connect with them, enabling me to curate a unique lesson plan that caters to their individual needs.
