About Fabian
Hi, I'm Fabian! I am an extensively qualified tutor with a demonstrable passion for teaching and sharing knowledge. I genuinely love teaching others, and have a high enthusiasm for science in general. I can refer you to many past students and parents who will attest to my excellent tutoring. Please see my qualifications below, and do not hesitate to reach out! I am commencing a PhD in mathematics at the University of Cambridge in October 2025. Until then, I considerable availability to take on new students. My secondary qualifications: - 99 ATAR, in the IB Diploma, from Glenunga International High School; - 7/7 for Mathematics HL; - 7/7 for Chemistry HL; - 7/7 Biology HL. My tertiary qualifications (undergraduate): - A pure mathematics bachelor's degree, with first class honors, from ANU; - A 7/7 GPA maintained throughout my degree at ANU, which was a highly specialized research-focused bachelor's degree (99 ATAR for entry); - 99% in Mathematics IA at The University of Adelaide, the highest mark in my cohort; - Letters of Commendation from the Vice Chancellor at ANU for academic excellence, each year from 2019 to 2022; - A Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes Scholarship at ANU to study climate models. My tertiary qualifications (postgraduate): - Master of Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, a highly prestigious university in the United States of America; - Fellowship at Vanderbilt University for outstanding academic merit, each year from 2023 to 2025; - 4.0/4.0 GPA in postgraduate mathematics. My teaching qualifications: - I have been officially employed by ANU to tutor advanced mathematics courses, and have received outstanding feedback. - I have also been officially employed as a tutor at Vanderbilt University in the United States of America. - I have been a private tutor since I was still a student in high school (since 2016), giving me 8+ years of experience. In fact, I hosted a mathematics club in high school. - I have taught a wide variety of students and year levels, ranging from Year 7 mathematics to university level mathematics and chemistry.

About Me: - My attitude towards teaching is to focus on deep understanding over rote memorization, because this is the most effective way to learn material and prepare for assessments. - I personally prepare my own practice material for students, individually catered to topics/concepts I believe they should focus upon. - I have an easygoing attitude, show patience, and also have experience assisting students with learning difficulties.
