Teaching Methodology: Throughout high school, I pretty much enjoyed every subject I took. I love the logic and problem-solving involved in mathematics, the incredible real-world applications of science to explain phenomena beyond our comprehension, and looking at how different authors and historical figures shaped our modern society. I chose to become a tutor because I want to be able to instill this passion in all my students so that our weekly lessons are not a chore but rather something we look forward to! I don't want to be the type of tutor that does the absolute bare minimum. My services include providing personalized and structured lessons and homework suiting your workload, providing free university and medical admissions guidance, online assistance whenever required, squeezing in extra lessons near exams, giving you access to my notes and exam papers as well as my collection from other schools, teaching you HOW TO STUDY and the most efficient methods that have worked for me, helping you balance study with extracurriculars, giving you a head start in learning content ahead of all your peers. Particularly for Mathematics and Science, my teaching methods are example-based. I believe that understanding content is best conducted when applied to typical questions and far more effective than memorizing formulas or generic steps to solving a question. Finally, I don't just tutor my students in their designated subjects, but provide them with the appropriate advice and support throughout their school years to help them thrive. I am generally flexible to rearrange lessons where required and am always open to answering their questions or marking drafts.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I was never very comfortable with Mathematics or English before beginning lessons with Leo. However through his guidance I can safely say I walked into the HSC more confident than ever before, gaining a mark I was very proud of. I can't thank him or recommend him highly enough to anyone else.
