After many years working in corporate, I decided to do what I had always thought about, but never acted on: Becoming a teacher. AND I LOVE IT. Making the difference in someone's life is so worth it. I have good relationships with my kids and try to keep the class interesting and as fun as the Board of Education will allow.

Middle school kids need to know how to write in general, and write essays in particular. I can help! I will assign my students an essay to write and help them through the entire process, including Hook, Claim, Thesis statement, Relevant evidence, Citations, Counterclaims, Rebuttals, and the Conclusion. I will also assist with spelling and punctuation (which isn't really taught or enforced in schools today). I can help any age from 6th grade to high school. I encourage kids to be hands-on and not be afraid to be wrong or make mistakes! You learn from getting things right, and you also learn from getting things wrong. I drive the fear out of trying.
