About Saoirse
My name is Saoirse and I’m currently studying in DCU to become a primary school teacher. I went to a Gaelscoil for primary school and it has stuck with me ever since! I love talking to others in Irish conversationally and taking trips to the Gaeltacht. I think having the confidence to speak Irish with others will get you far.

Irish can be a daunting exam for many students sitting the Leaving cert and I would love to help my students feel comfortable with their level of Irish as the Leaving Cert approaches. I think that having a good level of spoken Irish is key for both the oral and listening aspects of the exam which total 50% of the Irish exam, so I would focus on preparation for the oral, as well as the essay, poetry and prose sections.
