About Killgrooves!
I go at every student's own pace, show me your work and where you want your end goal to be and I’ll work with that! I will always begin with the fundamentals depending on what each student already knows, but I’m never going to force rules, that defeats an artist's spirit. My goal is to make each student feel satisfied with their ability to draw and paint. Students lead the lessons by requesting what they want to draw, learn, or focus on that day, and I will assist appropriately. We will also be drawing together, my job isn’t to make the pieces for you but to assist.

Hi! I’ve been making art since I could hold a pen, and am currently attending college for a Liberal Arts degree. Every art form fascinates me and I’ve been training in artistic methods since I was a child. My preferred medium is pencil, charcoal, pen and paint; like acrylics, watercolor and gouache. I would love to share my process on using these materials, because knowing your way around different mediums makes you so much stronger as an artist, and eventually you can combine them to make awesome multi-dimensional pieces. I specialize in drawing the human figure and faces. Portraiture is my strong suit and I’ve participated in educational live studio drawing classes as well as modeled for them. I have a lot of strategy to teach when it comes to drawing and capturing the human form both technically and stylistically. Many people are too shy to push beyond stick figures and I want to show them what they’re capable of.
