About Terra
Piano students often walk into the room feeling like their fingers are working against them during complex passages. I see learners who are frustrated by a syllabus that does not match their actual learning pace.
My BM from Boston Conservatory at Berklee provided me with the tools to deconstruct these barriers systematically. I specialize in memorization techniques, sight transposition, and sight reading. You will also find that I emphasize sight playing and fluid scales and arpeggios to build your facility. I plan to make our time together focused on clarity and artistic ease.

Learning music should involve a clear map rather than guesswork. Have you ever wondered why your hands refuse to cooperate even when you know the notes? My philosophy centers on a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan for you. This 10.0 level of customization helps me support the 264+ students I have taught over the years.
I bring my training in voice and piano to ensure you understand the harmonic structure of everything you play. It is genuinely fun to watch a student stop struggling with the page and start playing the music instead.
