About Andrea
Studying engineering was like discovering a field with endless doors that opened up to different layers of understanding of the universe. I became fascinated and still find myself exploring. It has led me to learn about everything you would never think was related to Engineering. Just ask me :)
Conventional frameworks for teaching consolidate and simplify content and methods for scalability and efficiency.
I have discovered a sea of alternative methods that I am confident anyone would feel learning can be incredibly easy, inviting and rewarding. If only they are just shown the alternatives. I genuinely believe we all have the same capacity to learn and gain knowledge. We may just differ in the opportunity and diversity in methods and approaches. And I wouldn't want anyone missing out! My philosophy is that learning is less like trying to keep up and more like discovering how things work.
My approach to tutoring is collaborative, creative, and built around you. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all lesson plan, we’ll co-create lessons that connect what you’re learning now with the things you already know, the tools you’re using at school, your interests, and the challenges you’re facing.
I’ll get to know how you see the world, where things start to get tricky, and what makes a concept click for you. Then we’ll build lessons around those discoveries, using games, challenges, creative problem-solving, and achievable targets to make learning more dynamic, relevant, and rewarding.
Sometimes it's more about searching for the right frame around the lesson than it is about the actual information. Other things are about practice and repetition until they become skills. Whatever it is, the rewards go into your progress and beyond the lesson itself.
