I have been knitting for years, for myself and for friends and family. I would be delighted to pass on this skill to others.
Beginner knitters of any age would be ideal. Are you interested in picking up knitting as a hobby? Would you eventually like to be able to sell your creations? This opens the door to both! Knowing knitting also makes it very easy to learn crochet, another similarly useful and fun skill.
Lessons would start with simple beginner's project such as a scarf, and through learning the basics, you will be able to advance and learn to make more complicated projects in the future.
I am available part-time to teach lessons in a public place (such as the library - often used by tutors and students - or coffee shop, etc) or at the student's home, at convenience.
I have taught knitting informally to some friends and relations over the years. They have generally found adapting to the new information easy with my instruction. Beginning with simple projects to get used to the basics, I have also helped those around me to feel more confident in their ability and comfortable with me as we go. I will take you at your own pace, whichever it is - some people are quick, others prefer to take their time and go slowly.
I have been experienced in knitting for several years, and have made projects from basic/beginners' (hats, scarves) to intermediate (blankets, larger and more intricate clothing items). My knitting skill was learned through regular lessons for around a year with a tutor, as well as self-education and research to develop further skills and technique.
