About Avani
I'm a current undergraduate Neuropsychology major. I'm originally from California so naturally I grew up surrounded by the Spanish language. I became fully fluent after spending a year in Mexico working and studying during high school. I have been tutoring ever since. I work mostly with high schoolers and college students however, I have experience teaching children as young as 7 as well as adults. I know exactly how intimidating it can be to try and learn a new language but don't worry in my classroom mistakes are welcome, that's how we learn best!

I focus on an interactive approach. I incorporate as much conversational practice as possible as well as focus on writing and grammar.
I will assess your level and tailor the lesson to you and your learning style/goals.
Languages can be difficult however my lessons focus on incorporating all aspects of the language including music, dialog, movies and literature so that we can find the way you learn best and have some fun! But rest assured I can also help you pass that AP Spanish exam! I am not a native speaker however I often get mistaken for one! I can prepare you for Spanish in the real world (workplace, study abroad, friendships etc.) and teach you specific lingo that will make you sound like a native!
