About Natalia

Born in the Altai region of Siberia, Natalia Avdeeva has lived and worked in London since 2005. She spends a great deal of her time painting and drawing outdoors in London or on expeditions to remote places in Britain ."I love the constantly changing hues and dramatic skies in the UK .I am challenged by the weather, passers-by, the changing lights and temperatures. A member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) and the recipient of both Russian and British awards and prizes, Natalia has exhibited in galleries and art fairs across Europe , Canada, United Kingdom , ASIA.

ONE TO ONE ART TUITION/COURSES
ALL AGES/LEVELS
My classes are an ideal way to get to grips with basic and advanced techniques, helping you create beautiful images. Art classes take place in modern, well-lit studio fully equipped for your creative needs. I I I also offer training en-plein-air and welcome home-visit requests.

DRAWING
Learn the basics of drawing including introduction to tone, line, perspective and how to create successful compositions. You will learn observational techniques, how to develop expressive approaches using various materials.

SKETCHING LONDON EN PLEIN AIR
Sketch in a variety of locations around central London that offer exciting views, buildings and skylines. Natalia will teach you how to work on capturing the essence of a place in an ever- changing environment. The course introduces and explores techniques working from direct outdoor observation (weather permitting) using pencil, ink and pen.

PAINTING IN OILS
Natalia teaches the visual language of seeing through light and shade. You will learn the make up of oil paint and its application with different mediums.

FLOWER PAINTING & STILL LIFE
Learn to capture the quiet beauty and the delicacy of still life and flowers on canvas with guidance through key aspects of the genre. The course focuses on colour composition, relationships and harmony.

LANDSCAPE PAINTING
Students will venture out into the parks of London where Natalia will teach the key stages of painting a landscape in oils. You will learn about composition, colour relationships and harmony.

INTRODUCTION TO SILK SCREEN PRINTING: MONOTYPE ***
This course is designed for beginners or as a refresher for those with some previous experience of the process.
