About Zayan

I am a student finishing my GCSEs, with a deep-seated passion for STEM and academic excellence. I am currently on target for straight grade 9s.

Beyond my studies, I have served as a Student Prime Minister and regional Community Executive for my school trust, roles that have honed my ability to lead projects and communicate complex ideas with clarity and professionalism.

My academic journey is marked by several high achievements, including a first-place prize in a microbiology competition, success in a regional poetry contest as well as involvement in representing my school on a regional level in science. I am driven to teach because I find immense fulfilment in helping others unlock their potential and achieve their goals. By sharing the revision strategies and subject knowledge that have fuelled my own success, I aim to empower the next generation of students to excel in their GCSEs and beyond.

About the lesson

I provide engaging, student-led tutoring sessions for KS3 and GCSE students, specialising in Mathematics of all exam boards. My methodology focuses on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using active recall and past paper analysis to build exam confidence.

Having just completed my own GCSEs in 2026, I offer fresh, relevant insights into current exam specifications. While this is my first formal tutoring role, I have a strong background as a peer mentor, often teaching complex topics to classmates to ensure clarity. I am highly enthusiastic and aim to nurture the student's confidence alongside their academic progress.

Typical lessons are 60 minutes long and are strictly tailored to the individual's learning style, ensuring the pace and delivery match their specific needs. By the end of each session, the focus is on ensuring the pupil has a deep understanding of the content and the technical exam skills required to excel.

My hourly rate is all-inclusive, covering both the 60-minute session and the preparation of bespoke learning materials tailored to the student's specific exam board.
This includes:
Preparation: Custom lesson plans based on individual learning styles and identified areas for improvement.
Resources: Access to curated active recall materials and sets of practice questions from past GCSE papers.
Feedback: Ongoing analysis of student performance to track progress towards their academic goals. There are no additional fees for teaching materials or specialised resources used during our time together.
