About Ethan
I’m Ethan, a student and research assistant intrested in how plant react with the world around them! Before becoming a scientist I was a horticulturalist with a diverse background in work experience. From green surveying to plant propagation I have been working with plants for over four years.

I have delivered many sessions on plant ID and modern ecological theories such as common mycorrhizal networks. I take a visualapproach, choosing to teach science and plant ID like a story. My tutoring style is infuncled by the conferences I have attended and the teaching I have received from academics. In a one hour session you can expect two topics covered such as “Leaf shapes” followed by “Plant families”. Throughout the session I refer to industry and academia, contextualising what is being learnt.
My lessons have been used by botanists and ecologists but also everyday people wanting to acces new knowledge. I’ve got experience teaching to a diverse age range from 12 to 30.
