About Chris
I have accumulated a huge amount of experience as a journalist, editor, lecturer, panel moderator and media adviser, and would now like to pass on my knowledge and skills to others so they can progress in the exciting and ever-changing media world. I know what it takes to produce good content and how to adapt it for all mediums and platforms, whether it's websites, social media, company reports, national newspapers or consumer magazines. I am a calm and patient teacher and explain things clearly to ensure that students get the most out of sessions and progress quickly in the profession.

I have written and edited news stories, features, case studies, interview pieces, reports, website content and much more for a huge variety of companies and publications over the last 25 years. These include the Guardian, The Times, Independent, The Sun, Variety, Digital Spy, Goal, Elite Traveller, British Film Commission and Caesars Casinos. I have also lectured on what it takes to be a journalist and mentored young writers for many years. I can work with students/clients who are starting out or looking to progress in the journalism (and editing) profession, or just looking to improve their writing and pitching skills. We'd cover things like how to find new content ideas, interview and pitching techniques (depending on the content, publication and audience), sentence structuring, constructing headlines and standfirsts, adapting content for different mediums, how to avoid common mistakes, the impact of AI and more. I have won awards for my journalism coverage, moderated hundreds of panels, been interviewed on the radio and TV, and consulted several businesses about how to improve their in-house and external media and communications. I can offer one-off sessions of any length or regular one-hour sessions. My LinkedIn profile: (concealed information)
