About Andre

We are training children of all ages in the ancient art of Kung Fu as a way of a healthier life and to make them stronger to take on life's little challenges !

Somerset West Shaolin Wushu Kung Fu Academy was honoured to be chosen by an international journalist to come and interview and take notes and photo's with us! He had to hand in a project and he was successful - he got the job - in China. We were also blessed - he had sent me all interviews, video's, and photo's. So look out for some awesome action posts. :-)

About the lesson

Dear Sir / Ma’am

Our son, Diego started training with Sifu Andre in February 2020. From the very first day he started, Diego was immediately at ease with Sifu Andre. This was very pleasing to me because Diego is on the Autism spectrum, and his comfortability was thus a key aspect in his continuance and also interest in his practise. Diego has since finished the year with Sifu Andre, achived his white belt and was excited to go to each and every practise.

Sifu Andre has this unique calm, but professional manner of training. Diego understood the different stances very well. Whenever he was struggling, Sifu Andre could put him at ease and did not hesitate to go the extra mile to help him.

Throughout the current pandemic, it was important for Diego to participate in his normal daily activities as far possible. Sifu Andre has made it possible for Diego to continue his Kung Fu practise, while ensuring the safety of our son, in terms of the COVID-19 regulations.

I would strongly recommend the services of Sifu Andre to any parent whose child has an interest in Kung Fu. I have no regrets in this decision and im sure any other parent wont either.
