I am very patient and open-hearted who enjoy working with students to help them achieve their goals.
I try to build a good relationship that my students can rely on me. I'd also see the student's personalities, their purposes in learning music so I could provide materials that fit them. Music lessons should be enjoyable. Everyone has different expectations towards music and that's what I try to explore and expand depending on each student's needs and goals so they could enjoy and grow :)
Everything I do and recommend my students to do is based on my life-long experience. The music production study at Berklee College of Music in Boston educated me with music using technology and jazz & contemporary music theory. I also learned classical music theory and music education at Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo using eurhythmics and solfege, etc. I have a middle school & high school music instructor license in Japan.

Yoshie is easily one of the most talented musicians I have ever met. She is an accomplished composer and arranger of all styles/genres of music. As a teacher, she is second to none. I met her during my stint as a vocalist in an a capella group in Japan. I watched as she took on the roles of leader (when the primary director was absent) and as a sectional director, helping her fellow choir members (all parts) gain confidence in the challenging choral works. Yoshie is a fun person to be around but she is always professional. I would highly recommend her for any music-related needs you might have.
Yoshie and I met at Berklee College of Music and we are music teacher friends.
She is a professional yet kind and patient teacher who focuses on individual growth.
I highly recommend her!
I have known Yoshie since she was a student at Berklee and have followed her career for years. She is a superb performer and inspirational teacher.I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their singing or to play the trombone. Her charisma and inspirational personality come through her every interaction with students and on stage.
My kids have been taking Yoshie’s piano lesson for about 3 years now and they absolutely love it. They progress pretty well with both in person and skype/zoom lesson. Yoshie is always on time and quick to respond to any questions. She is very patient with the kids as well.
