About Tanushka
Hi! I’m Tanushka, an award-winning soprano and classically trained vocalist with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mercer University. I’ve performed in opera, concert, and oratorio settings, including with The Atlanta Opera, and have performed at Carnegie Hall with the Mercer Singers.
Throughout my training, I’ve received recognition at the state, regional, and national levels, including 1st Place at Southeastern Regional NATS, three-time 1st Place at Georgia NATS, National NATS Semifinalist, and winner of the Atlanta Opera Guild Undergraduate Competition.
As a teacher, I want to share what I’ve learned through years of vocal training and performing while creating a positive, encouraging space where students can build healthy technique, confidence, and artistry. Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for an audition, or simply love to sing, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow into a more confident singer.

My approach to teaching voice is centered around helping each student build a healthy technique while finding confidence in their own unique sound. Every voice is different, so I tailor my lessons to the student’s experience, goals, and the style of music they want to sing.
A typical lesson begins with breathing and vocal exercises to work on technique, range, tone, and vocal freedom. We then apply those skills to repertoire, focusing on areas such as musicality, interpretation, diction, stage presence, and performance. For students preparing for auditions or performances, we can also focus specifically on audition preparation and repertoire coaching.
As an award-winning classical and opera singer, I bring my own performance and competition experience into my teaching. I understand that singing is about more than hitting the right notes—it’s about developing solid technique, communicating the music, and feeling confident when you perform.
My lessons are open to all ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to more experienced singers. Students can explore classical, musical theatre, and contemporary/pop repertoire, with lessons shaped around what they want to accomplish.
