About Zanniyah
Through my experience in speech and debate, in which I was able to place first at the state and county level, I have developed a passion for helping others to gain more confidence in their ability to communicate professionally and artistically beyond just voice.
To me, the art of communication lies in confidence. My goal is not to help you be the best but instead better. I help students of all ages to lay down a strong foundation by improving penmanship, writing skills, as well as confidence in public speaking.
I hope to help students to connect with their own message as well as the people who they're giving it to better. Here, I prioritize patience and encouragement so that we all can improve, learn, and come out more confident in the end.

For me, teaching tends to take a more personalized approach. Everyone's fears and level of skill and confidence are different, which is why every student deserves a learning experience catered to their individual needs. I place a strong emphasis on building up the foundational skills that it takes in order to write, speak, and create expressively.
I encourage students to get excited about exploring their own voice, to feel comfortable with making mistakes, and to let loose about where they're starting. A typical lesson starts by evaluating a student's skills and creating a personalized lesson plan based on their goals to help ensure that the practices we are doing are the best for them.
From there we focus on consistency through guided practice, feedback, and self-encouragement. No matter a student's current level of confidence or experience, my end goal is to help them feel more confident expressing themselves!
