About Beth
I love to teach students of all ages about math. I have taught middle and high school students for over 30 years and have recently retired from Virginia public schools in order to relocate to Palmdale. I have won exemplary teaching awards and have a master's degree in education. My favorite math to teach is Geometry, having had the most experience with that, but arithmetic, Algebra 1 and 2, and trigonometry are fun as well!

Math can be fun if you learn how to approach it, but intimidating if you don't understand the big picture. Sometimes students need a tutor because they feel lost and getting help doesn't help, because the teacher is speaking a different language. I try to find the missing information from previous math experiences and then build from there. It's fun for students when they "finally get it!"
