About Matt

Greetings!

My name is Matt Lora and I am a successful teacher, tutor, and author! I am currently in my 25th year of teaching, and I seem to enjoy the opportunity to open the minds of young people more and more every year. I have tutored independently or for other companies, or online for 25 years. I have tutored at least 1000 or more students in my lifetime. I was named the 2017 "Educator of the Year" in the region that I work for exhibiting excellence in and out of the classroom. I have a B.A. in mathematics and a M.A. in Education.

The main reason that I have found success in teaching and tutoring is because most of the feedback that I receive from clients and parents of students is that I can immediately explain mathematics at any level to anyone. What would maybe take 2-3 sessions to explain something only takes me minutes. I use humor and real life applications to transfer what I know to the student. Finally, my passion for teaching mathematics has driven me to produce many fun-filled and challenging junior high and high school level mathematical resources. About the lesson

I use a whiteboard to write out steps to problems in an orderly fashion. I share programs (that I have created) that can be loaded onto graphing calculators to make computations easier.

Finally, my passion for teaching mathematics has driven me to produce many fun-filled and challenging junior high and high school level mathematical resources.
