About Darrell
As a professor and a tutor, my aim is to inspire confidence through understanding. I use several specialized tools, such as spatial reasoning and 3D modeling (important for all levels of chemistry), animated reaction mechanisms, using previous knowledge as a foundation, and follow-up practice problems to achieve this.

My tutoring sessions are designed to move you past rote memorization and into a "first-principles" understanding of molecules, reactions and their mechanisms, and spectroscopy. Sessions focus on the logical flow of electrons and the thermodynamics that govern chemical transformations to provide a robust understanding.
