About Osvaldo

As an instructor, I take pride in providing a structured, supportive, and professional learning environment. With over 6 years of dedicated bachata experience, I’ve worked hard to build a solid foundation in both dancing and teaching. My training includes instruction from world-renowned bachata artists like Ataca y Alemana and Daniel & Desirée — and I hold an official certificate in beginner technique from Daniel & Desirée’s teacher training program. Beyond credentials, I bring real-world experience from years of social dancing at iconic venues like Steve’s Steakhouse in Los Angeles, where I refined my skills weekly in a vibrant and demanding social scene. This background allows me to teach not only technique, but also how to navigate the dance floor with confidence and respect. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and pace — always with patience, clear communication, and a focus on progress. You're not just signing up for dance lessons — you're learning from someone who truly understands the art, the culture, and how to help you grow.

About the lesson

I've been living and breathing bachata since 2017, and my goal is to help you not only dance — but truly enjoy the journey. I’ve trained with some of the biggest names in the bachata world, including Ataca y Alemana and Daniel & Desirée. I also completed Daniel & Desirée’s official online teacher training, earning a certificate in their beginner technique program — so you're getting high-quality instruction built on proven fundamentals.
My teaching focuses on clean technique and strong foundations that make learning advanced moves much easier down the road. Whether you're brand new or already dancing socially, I’ll help you move more smoothly, confidently, and in a way that feels natural and fun for both you and your dance partner.
I learned to dance at the world-famous Steve’s Steakhouse in LA, where I spent years dancing socially every week. I bring that same social dance energy and real-world experience to every class.

Perfect! Highly recommend Osvaldo! I’m such a newbie, when it comes to any of this formal dance stuff. I felt super comfortable with the lesson, as much as one can be for their first time. I felt super comfortable, he has a great set up at his house. I felt like he was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Anyone thinking about making the jump to do private lessons, DO IT, and I definitely would recommend Osvaldo! Such a great time, and I even felt better when I practiced at home. Excited for the next lesson.
