About Robyn
I’m Robyn, a professional editor, publisher, and creative writer based in Rockingham.
I have a strong love of books, storytelling, language and helping writers find confidence in their own voice. Through my work in editing and publishing, I have supported authors at different stages of their writing journey, from early ideas and messy first drafts through to manuscripts ready for publication.
I want to teach because I know how overwhelming writing, reading, and publishing can feel when you are trying to figure it all out alone. My goal is to make the process clearer, less intimidating and more enjoyable. I believe good teaching should be encouraging, practical and honest, and give students the tools they need while still respecting their individual creativity.

My approach is tailored to each student, whether you are learning to read, working on a short story, developing a novel, studying literature, preparing a manuscript, or learning how the publishing process works.
In my lessons, I focus on constructive feedback and helping students build confidence in their own abilities. Depending on your goals, we may cover reading, creative writing (story structure, character development, dialogue, world-building), developmental editing, manuscript preparation for self-publishing, or English Literature analysis.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on your needs.
I hold a BA in English Literature, a Certificate of Applied Copyediting and Proofreading, and I am an Associate Member of IPEd. I also work professionally as an editor and publisher, so I bring real industry experience into my lessons.
My lessons are suitable for children, teens, adults, beginner writers, students, and anyone wanting to learn reading, creative writing, or self-publishing.
