About Yi Jing Alison
I am a patient and passionate Chinese tutor who truly believes in the importance of Chinese education. I take time to understand each student’s learning style and customize my teaching approach to suit their individual needs. I focus on identifying each student’s strengths to build their confidence, while also helping them improve in areas they may find challenging. I chose to teach Chinese because I believe it is a vital part of our cultural roots and heritage. Learning Chinese not only helps preserve traditional values, but also opens doors to opportunities—especially as China continues to rise on the global stage. I hope to inspire my students to appreciate the language and find confidence and purpose in learning it.

I have over two years of one-to-one Chinese tutoring experience. I have taught two Secondary 4 students preparing for the O-Level exams, focusing on composition, oral skills, comprehension, and exam techniques. I also supported a Primary 1 student in building language foundations and am currently teaching a Primary 6 student with a focus on PSLE preparation. Additionally, I have taught a Vietnamese working professional conversational and workplace Mandarin. My lessons are engaging and tailored to each student’s level, with emphasis on sentence construction, real-life application, and mastering the current syllabus to enhance exam performance.
