About Cameron
My name is Cameron! I began learning guitar in sophomore year of high school and haven't put it down since. I attended college at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA and participated in the Amherst College Jazz Ensemble for two of my four years there. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on education. In my time as a student, I've had many music teachers. Some amazing and inspiring! Some made me want to quit music altogether. Because of this, I've made it my goal to make music enjoyable for beginners and make them want to keep playing.

Learning guitar, especially as a beginner, should be fun! I mainly focus on beginner and intermediate students at any age. Whether you've been playing for a couple years or just picked up a guitar, my job as a teacher is to make sure music is something you like to do.
My goal is to teach you the fundamentals of guitar in ways that allow you to keep playing and learning outside of class. In my lessons, I want to see what you're already capable of first, preferably through the performance of your favorite song or a riff you really like. Then, using that information, I will work with you on pertinent exercises and songs that are in line with your goals as a musician. Finally, we'll play some music together! Whether it's a tune you already know or an improv session, the key to reaching your goals is to play a LOT.
