About Pontsho
I am Wits Bachelor of Education graduate located in Johannesburg. I teach Senior phase and FET Mathematics and English. This is a rather weird combination as one would pair Maths with Physics and English with Life Orientation or another language however I am passionate about this weird combo. I used to love literature in high school such that I participated in events like debates, speeches, and poetry and have won first place in such events. That's how I fell in love with English as it gave me a voice to interact with everyone and allowed me to voice out my opinions. I also fell in love with Maths the other time I forgot my phone's pin but remembering the topic 'probability' I knew that if I can at least try a certain number of combinations then I will get it right. I started valuing the importance of Maths in the real world. As such I ensured that throughout my university life, I performed well in maths and can apply it to my daily life. I represent every letter in the word DESTINY, I am determined, enthusiastic, systematic, time-bound, innovative, nurturing, and young.

When I was a student, I got to interact with learners of different attitudes and attributes each year in different schools. As such I have developed patience and an understanding of how to approach each one of those learners. My Maths and English lessons offer learning based on the pace suitable for each individual. They also include fun activities that will keep learners engaged such as ice breakers. The lessons are aimed at learners in grades 7, 8, and 9 and shall be in English but I am able to codeswitch to Setswana, Sepedi, Sesotho, and isiZulu if needs be.
