About Jessica

Hi! I'm a third-year Bachelor of Education student with a Diploma of Education and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
I've always enjoyed learning, particularly History, Politics, Law, and Sociology, and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others. I know school can feel overwhelming at times, but I believe every student can succeed with the right support. I would like to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's goals and learning style. Before each lesson, I'll prepare a structured plan based on what you'd like to focus on, whether that's understanding class content, preparing for exams, improving essay writing, or building confidence in a subject. Lessons are typically one hour long, but I'm happy to adjust them where needed.
I have teaching experience through university placements and mentoring roles, and I tutor primary and (mostly) secondary students in Humanities subjects and related areas. My goal is to help students not only improve academically but also leave each lesson feeling more confident and motivated.
Outside of university, I enjoy traveling, keeping up with current events, and spending time outdoors. If we're meeting online, don't be surprised if my Golden Retriever puppy makes a quick appearance to say hello! He's very friendly and usually provides a well-timed study break.

About the lesson

I'm currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Education and hold a Diploma of Education, with teaching experience through university placements and mentoring roles. My approach is patient, supportive, and encouraging, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I offer tutoring for primary and (mostly) secondary students in Humanities subjects, including History, Politics, Law, Sociology, and related areas. My goal is to help students understand the content, develop effective study habits, and leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived.
