About Hayley

I am a passionate Health and Physical Education teacher who believes that every student can succeed when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged. My decision to become a teacher was driven by a desire to make a positive difference in young people's lives, helping them develop not only academic knowledge but also confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills that support their health and well-being. I enjoy building positive relationships with students and creating learning experiences that are engaging, meaningful, and relevant to their everyday lives.

As a qualified and experienced secondary teacher, I have worked with a diverse range of students across primary and secondary year levels, supporting learners of varying abilities and backgrounds. I pride myself on creating a supportive, respectful, and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves to improve. My strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, assessment requirements, and effective teaching practices allows me to provide high-quality, personalized support that meets each student's individual needs. I am committed to maintaining clear communication, reliability, and professionalism in every lesson, ensuring students and families can feel confident they are receiving effective and trustworthy educational support. My goal is not only to help students improve their results but also to foster a genuine sense of confidence and enjoyment in learning.

About the lesson

I take a student-centred approach to tutoring Health and Physical Education, tailoring each lesson to the individual needs, learning style, and goals of the student. My teaching methodology focuses on breaking complex concepts into manageable steps, using real-world examples, guided practice, and regular questioning to build understanding and confidence. Lessons are typically 60 minutes in length and may include revision activities, skill development, assessment preparation, and targeted support with coursework. As a qualified secondary teacher with experience teaching Health and Physical Education across Years F–12, I have extensive knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and assessment requirements. My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary students of all ability levels, including those needing extra support, extension opportunities, or assistance preparing for assignments, SACs, and examinations. My aim is to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students feel supported to achieve their personal best while developing lifelong knowledge and skills related to health, wellbeing, and physical activity.
