About Bailey
"My teaching approach helps students become confident readers of violin music through clear and structured lessons. I welcome beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced players who want to improve their reading skills. Every lesson is planned to build confidence step by step.
We work on sight reading for violin, understanding ledger lines, reading complex rhythms, interpreting multi part scores, rhythm counting, note recognition, bowing patterns, fingering accuracy, and musical phrasing. These skills help students read and perform new music with greater confidence. I explain every concept using simple examples before applying it to real pieces.
For example, I often give students a short piece they have never seen before and guide them through it one section at a time. This improves visual to finger coordination and helps them react more naturally while playing. Regular feedback allows students to notice steady improvement with every lesson.
I also support students who prepare for musical theater performances and those who play in worship settings where reading music quickly is important. My lessons encourage careful listening, strong reading habits, and confident performance. Together, you will build the skills to play new pieces accurately and confidently from the very first reading."

"I have been teaching violin for over 9 years, and I enjoy helping students grow through both individual and group learning. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a specialization in Orchestral Strings and Violin. My lessons focus on building confident musicians who enjoy performing with others.
I have directed string ensembles, group violin classes, and youth orchestras in schools, community centers, and chamber groups. I enjoy coaching chamber music because it teaches students how to listen, communicate, and perform together. One youth ensemble I worked with began by struggling to stay together, but after regular practice they performed confidently at a local community concert.
I teach section leading, ensemble dynamics, group tuning, rhythm, and teamwork so every student understands their role within an ensemble. These skills help players become reliable and supportive musicians. I believe every rehearsal is an opportunity to learn something new from the people around you.
Watching students grow together as an ensemble is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. Every lesson encourages cooperation, respect, and musical confidence. I look forward to helping you experience the joy of ensemble playing and the lasting friendships that grow through making music together."
