About Kristen
I am a dedicated and supportive nursing tutor committed to helping students build the knowledge, confidence, and critical-thinking skills they need to succeed in nursing school and beyond.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-centered. I break down complex nursing concepts into clear, manageable steps and connect theory to practical clinical situations. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and understand the reasoning behind nursing interventions rather than relying solely on memorization.
Whether you need help understanding difficult concepts, preparing for nursing exams, reviewing clinical topics, or strengthening your test-taking and critical-thinking skills, I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and academic level.
My goal is to create a professional and supportive learning environment where nursing students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I want every student to leave a lesson feeling more prepared, confident, and capable of applying their nursing knowledge in both academic and clinical settings.

About the lesson

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material and a discussion of the student’s goals for the session. I then introduce or explain the new concept in a clear, structured way, followed by worked examples and guided practice.
The student then has an opportunity to apply the concept independently while I provide feedback and address any difficulties. We finish by reviewing the key points, identifying areas that need additional practice, and, when appropriate, setting a few exercises or goals for the next lesson.
