I hold a strong background in political theory, American government, and international relations, and I enjoy guiding students through complex topics by breaking them down into clear, relatable lessons. My goal is to make political science engaging and relevant—connecting classroom concepts to current events and real-world examples. As a tutor, I believe in personalized learning. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to individual strengths, challenges, and goals. I strive to build confidence, critical thinking, and curiosity—skills that help students succeed not just in political science, but across all disciplines. Whether you’re preparing for exams, improving your essay writing, or just exploring how politics works, I’m here to help you think critically, stay motivated, and enjoy the learning process.

My approach to teaching Political Science and Politics focuses on helping students understand how political systems, ideas, and institutions shape the world around them. I aim to make political science both accessible and relevant, connecting foundational theories to current events and real-world examples.
I begin by assessing each student’s background knowledge and interests—some may be new to politics, while others are passionate about specific issues. From there, I tailor lessons to their learning style and pace, ensuring concepts like separation of powers, political ideologies, electoral systems, and public policy are clearly understood.
My lessons blend interactive discussion, case studies, and multimedia tools (such as news clips, infographics, and policy simulations) to make abstract ideas concrete. I encourage students to analyze, question, and debate, fostering critical thinking and civic awareness.
Regular check-ins and short assessments help me measure progress, while open dialogue creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing diverse viewpoints. I emphasize analytical writing, argumentation, and comparative thinking—skills essential for success in political science and beyond.
Ultimately, my goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also develop a deeper understanding of how political systems work—and their own role as informed, engaged citizens.
