About Lara
Hello! I have just completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Monash University, Majoring in Genetics and minoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
I have been tutoring for 5 years with subjects subjects ranging from Maths, Biology, Psychology and Chemistry. I have taught students who range from high school to university level across Australia.
I want to be able to help improve my students' confidence in their abilities so that they are able to conquer any assessment they may face.

I like to spend the initial lesson assessing if the student I am tutoring is having any particular issues with understanding the content taught within the subject. Following this, I like to deep dive into learning the core assessed material for the subject. Finally, I like to help the students develop strategies for answering questions in either a SAC or exam setting.
I also make sure that I adopt a lesson style that is catered towards the needs of the individual student.
I am able to tutor students in-person at the Melbourne State Library or surrounding areas. I also am able to provide online tutoring via Zoom.

Lara was my tutor in 2022 for VCE English. She helped me improve both my essay writing and my time management skills when it came to sitting exams. Lara was also able to help me gain confidence in my abilities in order to achieve a score of 46 for the subject.
I was tutored by Lara last year for VCE Biology and she helped me to achieve a raw score of 45. In each of our sessions she helped me to consolidate my learning and gain more confidence with the material. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this score without her 24/7 support.
