About Amy
In 2002 I helped create a dance and fitness program for Foothill High School’s dance department, based on high school physical education requirements, arts course guidelines, and dance technique standards. I developed a dance & fitness course curriculum, performance evaluation procedures, and artistic development goals for adjudication.
I have learned from personal experience, not only how to effectively teach dance technique, but how to engage an audience using active communication skills, social-emotional learning exercises, & mindful awareness tools. Whether managing employees, teaching students, or engaging audiences, being aware of our diverse perceptions, and appealing to each participant’s individual goals is a key factor in leading a team or running an organization.
In my career, I have graduated from student to performer, teacher to choreographer, manager to director and from producer to proud parent in the audience. Now, I’m searching for employment opportunities that align with my highest self as well as the greatest potential for the future of our country, our planet, and all of humanity. I am seeking a career that allows me to serve my community, meet new passionate, artistic, creative & engaging people and travel abroad utilizing my skills, education, background and experience in a meaningful manner.

Timing, rhythm, & positive vibrations are my sole purpose. I teach Latin tap, classic ballroom dance, from my grandfather’s traditional tap dances. Classes start off with a warm-up to get loosened up and practice proper ankle technique, then across the floor traveling rhythmic combinations, then a turn combination, and ending with an 8-count, 8 counts of choreo and a round of improv.
