As a Chemist and overall lover of STEM, I want to inspire ambition and encourage students to recognize their full potential. I am a scientific researcher at heart who is very detail-oriented, thorough, and organized. I have two years of experience in undergraduate research in Polymer Chemistry at UC Santa Cruz, and two years of Biotechnology research in industry. My teaching methods work best for visual learners. I pride myself on my organization and note-taking skills I learned in college. My style of teaching utilizes color schemes and visual representations to illustrate theories that are difficult to grasp. A typical lesson starts with an overview of the assignment at task, where I highlight gaps in the student’s knowledge or comprehension causing confusion. I combine auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and reading/writing teaching styles until it clicks. I teach Physical Science and Mathematics for middle school, high school, and college students.
