About Kirsten A
As a computer engineer with a bachelor’s degree and an aspiring astrophysicist, I am very experienced in mathematics and physics. I also work as a summer camp counselor, where I teach a STEM class, so I am certainly capable of teaching children and young adults from grade 3 to college level. During my time in undergraduate, I worked in many group projects, and even taught my peers when my professor’s lectures were insufficient.

Hi! My name is Kirsten, and I look forward to working with you/your student. I am a hands-on/interactive teacher, and someone that can explain something in multiple ways. By using instruction followed by guided and independent practice, you/your student will reach mastery quickly! I also like to use a modified pomodoro technique, as taking structured breaks is just as important to learning as learning itself. Anything from basic algebra- even just addition or multiplication- to complex astrophysics. Lessons can be as short as 30 minutes, or as long as 90, and can occur as late in the night as 9pm.
