About Marie-Florence
I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and several years of tutoring experience with students from elementary school to university. I also completed two years of university studies in elementary education, including classroom teaching experience.
I am originally from Quebec and recently moved to Nelson. French is my first language, and I can teach mathematics in either French or English. I am reliable and comfortable working with students of different ages and levels.

My approach is friendly, patient, and adapted to each student. I take the time to identify what is causing difficulty and explain the material clearly, using different examples when necessary. I want students to understand the reasoning behind each solution rather than simply memorize a method.
A typical lesson begins with the student's questions, current assignments, or upcoming exams. We review the relevant concepts, work through examples together, and then practise similar problems more independently.
I can help with homework, course material, exam preparation, or general improvement in mathematics. Lessons can be offered in either English or French! :)
