About ABHISHEK
I am a Biomedical sciences graduate, who has spent 3 years dissecting contemporary cutting edge scientific research and I understand the importance and the value of a good foundation of learning aswell as understanding . I never had a tutor who was able to break down complex biological or chemistry related concepts at GCSE level and do it in such a way that makes these concepts easy to understand. After realising this I developed the inclination to help support younger GCSE students such as my brother develop this foundation, so that one day when they go to university they are able to easily tackle and dissect more advanced scientific concepts.

I mainly have tutored my brother so far for his Biology and Chemistry GCSEs. I firstly ask a student what exam board his or her GCSE exams are going to be under. I thereafter identify and look at the respective exam board specification and then extensively plan each of my teaching sessions. My teaching style is that I go through each individual topic in specification order and make complex concepts easy to understand and I break down each step to ensure my students establish a good foundation of understanding. Once I have helped to establish understanding, I thereafter practice exam style questions with my students. I primarily teach GCSE level biology and Chemistry. My lessons last 2 hours. 1 hour- 1 hour 30 minutes of developing understanding and then 30 minutes of exam style question practice. However if the student requests I can spend 2 hours on developing complete understanding of topic or 2 hours on only exam style questions. I also set homework at the end of each of my sessions.
