About Yip
I am an experienced singing tutor with 7 years of teaching and work experience helping school and college students improve their vocal abilities. Music has always been a powerful source of inspiration in my life, and teaching allows me to share that passion with my students.
Over the years, I have guided many learners who started their singing journey with little experience. Through structured lessons and consistent practice, they developed stronger vocal skills and gained confidence in performing. Some of them have participated in school concerts, college cultural events, and talent shows.
My teaching style focuses on important vocal techniques such as breathing exercises, pitch accuracy, rhythm understanding, and vocal expression. These skills provide the foundation for confident singing. I also make sure that my lessons are supportive and engaging so students enjoy learning music. My aim is to help students discover their unique voice and develop a lifelong appreciation for singing.

My singing teaching methodology emphasises flexibility, creativity, understanding, and organised time management to provide a structured yet enjoyable learning experience. I believe that confidence and skill develop together, so I focus on both technique and personal expression.
I begin lessons with vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises to prepare the voice and prevent strain. Students then practise pitch control, tone improvement, articulation, and song interpretation to strengthen both technical skill and expression. Creativity is encouraged so students can explore different musical genres and connect emotionally with the songs. I also take the time to understand each student’s learning pace and challenges, providing supportive guidance and constructive feedback.
Effective time management ensures each lesson balances skill development, song practice, and performance preparation. Additionally, I teach rhythm, music theory basics, and stage presence to help students become well-rounded musicians.
