About Uco
Ballet Barre is a safe and effective way to begin building strength. You can use the barre, a chair, or a wall for support during the exercises. As you become stronger and more confident, I’ll gradually invite you to practice exercises in the center without the barre.
If you’re interested in taking an open ballet class in NYC, please let me know.
**Benefits of Ballet Barre:**
1. Strengthens your feet, legs, and muscles used for rotation
2. Improves posture, helping you stand taller and more elegantly
3. Encourages deep, mindful breathing with beautiful ballet music
4. Helps develop muscle memory and body awareness
As you build more inner strength and body control, I can also introduce you to Pilates training.

Movement is medicine!! Let’s move. I was a professional ballerina in Japan and US, retired in 2018.
Now I have Pilates certification and enjoy Jazz dance, Surfing.
I believe, ballet barre and Pilates maintain your essential body strongest safely to enjoy all other activities including just only weekend grocery shopping to biking, surfing others.

I started teaching ballet since I was 13 yrs old in Japan.
I was professional ballerina in Japan in 2000 and in U.S. in 2009.
I became certified Pilates instructor in 2025.
