About Aliya
Hi! I’m Aliya - originally from Dubai, now studying my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in the UK. I chose to become a tutor because I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, especially when it comes to bridging gaps in understanding or building exam confidence. Having achieved 2 A*s and 1 A at A-Level (Chemistry, Maths, and Psychology) and 8 A*s at GCSE with a Cambridge High Achievement Award, I understand what it takes to perform well academically; not just memorising content, but learning how to apply it effectively in exams. I know how frustrating it can feel to understand a topic but struggle when faced with a past paper; that’s where I can help! My lessons focus on clear explanations, exam technique and a lot of guided practice to help you gain confidence and see real progress. Outside of academics, I enjoy Jiu-Jitsu, swimming, hiking and cooking. I will also never say no to a good iced coffee!

I teach online 1 on 1 classes with flexible timings and days according to the student's needs. I am familiar with the most up to date content as I recently graduated and can assist in understanding mark schemes and learning how to apply content to past papers and exams strategically - a skill not taught by many teachers. I teach GCSE chemistry, maths, biology, sociology and AS level chemistry and psychology. I offer 1 hour or 1.5 hour lessons 1-3 times a week, as per student's requirements.
