About Les
Twenty-one years ago, I started teaching the acoustic guitar in a small local studio. Standing there with a nervous beginner, I realized that my MMus degree from Berklee College of Music was only the beginning of my actual education. Today, I work with everyone from grade-exam candidates to shy hobbyists.
I teach tuning and maintenance. I coach power chords. I focus on the basics. My goal is to make sure you feel confident whenever you pick up your instrument.

Your first lesson begins with a clear assessment of your current technical ability and your musical interests. We will handle your guitar correctly to ensure comfort and proper posture.
My 13 years of experience allow me to simplify complex music theory into manageable pieces. I incorporate techniques from my MMus studies to help you refine your tone.
You will find that regular practice becomes a natural part of your week. I provide constructive feedback after every session. We build your repertoire through steady progress. You will soon play the songs you have always wanted to master.
