About Zoe
I'm an attorney and experienced prosecutor with a passion for making complicated legal concepts feel manageable. As an academic fellow and tutor during law school and now a practicing attorney, I understand that knowing the law is only half the battle - the other half is learning how to spot the right issues, organize your thoughts, and clearly apply the law to the facts in front of you.
My tutoring style is practical, approachable, and tailored to how each student learns. I especially enjoy working through hypotheticals, breaking down difficult doctrines into plain English, and helping students strengthen their issue spotting, IRAC analysis, and exam-writing skills.

I offer individualized tutoring in Constitutional Law and Criminal Law for undergraduate, pre-law, and law students. As a practicing prosecutor, I can help students not only understand black-letter law, but also learn how to recognize legal issues and apply those rules to complex fact patterns.
In Constitutional Law, I provide instruction on topics including judicial review, separation of powers, federalism, the Commerce Clause, individual rights, due process, equal protection, and First Amendment issues. In Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, I help with elements of offenses, actus reus and mens rea, homicide, attempt, conspiracy, accomplice liability, defenses, searches and seizures, interrogations, Miranda, identification procedures, and the right to counsel.
I also work specifically on issue spotting, IRAC organization, and law-school exam writing. We can work through practice hypotheticals together to identify hidden issues, determine which rules matter, organize an answer using IRAC, and develop stronger application and analysis. I help students learn how to write efficiently under timed exam conditions without getting bogged down in unnecessary facts or rule statements.
Lessons can be tailored to your course and goals, whether you need help understanding a difficult doctrine, working through hypotheticals, building an outline, preparing for an exam, or strengthening your overall legal analysis and writing skills.
