About Anson
I’m a Biomedical Engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo with nearly two years of experience across medical device development, research labs, and engineering projects. I enjoy helping students build strong STEM foundations while developing confidence and independent problem-solving skills and practice this as a Program Assistant at SHAD UBC. My approach is patient, structured, and supportive. We're here to learn and feel the burn (in your brain).

My tutoring aims to help students learn how to navigate through problems in a way that doesn't just apply to homework and doesn't require you to just memorize solutions. I emphasize strong fundamentals, real-world examples and relating core ideas, and building confidence and independent problem-solving.
A typical lesson reviews key concepts, works through guided examples, and finishes with the student solving problems independently. However, this structure is catered to every unique situation. If I can help you prepare for the real-world a bit (and yes, how you develop during school is a part of it) then let's do it!
I bring an interdisciplinary biomedical engineering background and enjoy connecting words on the page to realized ideas.
Sessions are best suited for high school and early university students studying math, physics, chemistry, biology, programming, or introductory engineering, as well as those preparing for exams or considering STEM programs in Canadian universities.
