About Richard
Music college graduates of RWCMD and Dartington College of Arts, we have taught professionally for 20 years. Formerly as Plymouth Music Lessons, and now East Surrey Music Lessons. Twice in top three best rated for tutors in Plymouth. Taught at Saltash College as visiting tutor and Plymouth University Jazz Piano Tutor.

We teach both exam and non-exam syllabuses. We offer friendly and one-to-one tuition in Trinity, ABRSM for serious study or for the joy of learning an instrument. Students book one paid lesson, then continue with blocks of four paid for up front if they are pleased with the trial lesson. Most lessons are 45 min length.

We do not offer a free first lesson. First lesson is a paid trial. We offer a home ed discount available only before 3:00pm in term time. Travel is free within 20min walk. Rates vary depending on length of lesson.
30min is £76 for four lessons (under 13, or over 75).
45min is £108 for four lessons.
60min is £140 for four lessons.
£10 travel cost per visit.
Home ed discount is £96 for 45 min for four lessons.
