About Jocelyn

My personality is cheerful and humorous. In my class, you will always see my smile, and I hope my smile can be contagious. While Chinese is my native language, I am also proficient in English. Additionally, I am self-studying Korean and Cantonese. I hope we can share and learn from each other’s experiences.

I am an enthusiast of arts and sports and have been writing travelling journals for seven years. I am currently studying Media and Sociology at the University of Sydney, and I thoroughly enjoy communicating with others.

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I have developed my own version of the Chinese pinyin table that is tailored to be more comprehensible for non-native speakers. Whether focusing on listening, speaking, or reading, I have unique pronunciation tips that simplify learning.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
During my exchange program in the United States, I gained experience as a Chinese tutor for my American classmates. Additionally, I was born in Beijing, known for its standard Mandarin pronunciation.

Who Are Your Lessons For (Level, Age, etc.):
My lessons are open to all levels, ages, and purposes. I am very patient and strive to make the classes as engaging as possible. If you are learning for certification purposes, I will incorporate a more academic teaching style. And the length of each lesson will be approximately 1-2 hours.
