Growing up as the daughter of a Yoruba teacher who taught the language for over 30 years, I was immersed in the beauty and richness of Yoruba from a young age. My Heritage: Watching my mother teach and inspire countless students to learn and appreciate Yoruba language and culture had a profound impact on me. I saw firsthand the joy and confidence that came from connecting with one's heritage, and I knew that I wanted to carry on this legacy. Why I Teach: I'm motivated to teach Yoruba because I want to share the gift that my mother gave me with others.
